This relief consists of two sections - the primary section is a figure of the Virgin Mary; superimposed this is a relief of an open book. The relief of Mary is above a doorway and shows her seated on a stylized chair. In her hands, she holds an open book, which is inscribed with the a quote in Latin. Translated, the quote reads "Concerning the Virgin Mary, there is never enough." The relief represents the logo of the old Marian Library at the University of Dayton.
